NEXT TRIP

perth – melbourne – leaving 6th january

Hey guys my names Jake  and with Liam we run the magic bus Australia!. we’ll be leaving perth on the 6th of january heading to melbourne in a 25 seat bus. The whole trip will take around 3 – 4 weeks to get there.

The way we see it the more people the better and throughout the trip our plan is to get as many young backpackers from as many different countries as possible to party all across Australia! Of course we will stop and see the sights such as, Margret River, Valley of The Giants, Cape le Grande National Park, Adelaide. The Grampians National Park, and The Great Ocean Road Albany, Great Australian bight, Pemberton, Hamelin bay as well as many other cool spots we know along the way!.

Time is not so much of a problem. We run everything as a mini democracy so wherever the group wants to go we go. Whatever the group wants to do, we do. You get the idea, it is going to be an epic trip!

We have camping gear, (gas bottles, camping stove cookers, lights, cutlery, plates and stuff for everyone) a massive cool box, surfboard, body boards, skim board, guitars, keyboard, a big sound system in the bus to play music and a killer iPod with lots of great jams on it, , drinking games, goon funnel, flunkey ball set, a good camera for taking photos, spray paint for painting the bus! etc etc. So all you’ll really need is yourself and whatever your drinking and smoking (if you smoke).

We normally just all chip in a few dollars whenever we are in town and just all make food together. It works out much cheaper for everyone that way (like $3 a day). There’s heaps of free camping in most places along the way so we stay there when we can (there will be a load of us so it won’t really matter where we stay it will still be a party) plus it will save some cash that way. If there’s a cool hostel or 2 in the towns or some amazing places to camp we can stay there for the night aswell, I don’t want to make too many plans too far ahead. We will figure it out along the way!.

Anyways if this seems like a bit of you then let me know. Hopefully hear from you soon! – msg or email us at:

What past passengers say about their experiences on The Magic Bus…

What our passengers say….

Unforgettable. Family. Laughter

I went into this trip not knowing what to expect and I’m glad I did it. It was one of the best times in my life! It helps you to grow as a person and you learn to do things you thought you couldn’t. You don’t just make friends for life but family. The bus was home!

Funnels, friends and fun.

The Magic Bus was one of the best trips of my life. I was on the Perth-Melbourne trip a year ago today and half my stories still start with “Yeah, this time on the Bus..”
The perfect way to meet 20+ awesome people and really see Australia; I still talk to and meet up with Bus friends all the time in Europe. If you get a chance to go on the trip with the gentleman that is Jake, do it!

My trip on The Magic Bus was an unexpected experience, I really appreciated these weeks driving along the East coast, meeting different people and sharing good moments, as some beautiful evenings by the fireside. Particularly, I like the concept of the Magic Bus, I felt really free and close to the nature at that time. It showed me that, as Jack for the Magic Bus, you can do what you like in life, no matters convention and social commitments.
If you want to join them, do not hesitate, even for a short period, i’m sure you will get something of that experience.

One of the best things I’ve not only done in oz but probably to date. Amazing to experience the west coast in the back to basic style completely how it should be, with 25 people ready to see awesome things and become a travelling community.

I spent my birthday on it, I’ll never forger Glitterball. FAB GURL.

Booze, music, bunch of amazing people from all around the globe and that for weeks in the bush of Australia.
I´m still thinking about that trip more or less every day. Everyone who get the chance to do it should do it.
PLUS Flunkyballtrainingscamp!!!
